For shallow, rolling scars microneedling is a workhorse: a series of three to six sessions, four to six weeks apart, with a day or two of redness each time. It is also safe across skin types, which matters if you tan easily. Deeper ice-pick scars usually need resurfacing lasers or subcision, and most people end up with a combination. I photograph in the same light every visit because progress is gradual.

Get your active acne fully under control first. Treating scars while new lesions are still appearing is frustrating and can make pigmentation worse.
